Given the number of fatalities we as a club experienced/witnessed over the last 2 years, this training must be regarded as a requirement for all members. It should be required for all to attend at least 1 suchlike session per year. So please add my name to the list as well. Regards, see you on the 8th of June. LeRoy

Skoeter, Pauli is the guy with the inside info - I'm sure as soon as the sand from the Mozambique trip has been washed off, he'll post the schedule

Question?........and I’m not campaigning to have any rules for the day changed.
At the briefing, Pauli specifically stated that this day is not restricted to BMW motorcycles only, if memory serves me correctly it was something to the tune of:
If you have another brand of motorcycle, you are welcome to come with it or to bring it along, even if you have a friend on a Harley, he/she is also welcome
As a result of the said, Stienie put her name down to attend on a Honda - that is if she does not have her Beemer by then - and I would have brought my superbike along as well.
Now, today Jan from BMW Lifestyle reminded me of the day and also said to remember it’s exclusively for BM’s.
Like to reiterate, I don’t ask for any of the rules to be changed but please…….pretty please, can we just have confirmation of the protocol for the day.
Like to avoid the previous – not so pleasant – experience at all cost.

Okay, guys and girls!!
I have just spoken to James again at the Academy, and this will be a Club training day. This will be open to club members and they are welcome to bring friends with. You can do the training on "ANY" road worthy motorcycle, as long as you are a member or a guest of a member.
Please do not forget to bring your membership cards on the day, this will be your proof of membership.
The training will be 7 to 8 exercises and there after the track will be open for group training exercises. The GS group will have an intro to GS riding session and will have a short outride on gravel roads in the area.
Please note that the training starts at 8am and we will be leaving from Shell Atterbury at 7:30.

I tend to agree with Jamie - took me 2 years to get my stepson there - you know getting the youngsters out of bed before 12:00 on a sunday - and we turned up and were turned away. Got so ----- off that i stayed away for 2 years. Hope this issue has now been alayed. LeRoy.

Hi Guys,
This is a "CLUB" training day, "NOT A BMW EVENT/TRAINING DAY", I have for this reason requested James at the academy to open our invitation to any brand and he welcomed it. Please also note that the rider should be in position of learners or drivers license.
Should you still be unclear about this please contact James direct. In the past there was no arrangements made and that was the reason why there was a lot of unhappiness.
So please stop wasting energy debating this point and recruit more members and friends to join us for this fun "CLUB" training day.
