This is indeed a sad day for all of us.
What a privelage to have met you Bucc......and for all your support at GPS4AFRICA! What a blessing it was to have met your family and your friends. You fought the cause my friend but not lost............ From the skyways riding on angel wings we know you will continue to fight for the cause. Our promise to you is that TB will pull together stronger and bigger in honour of your sacrifice.
Fran and kids................ No words are enough right now to express how deeply sorry I am at your loss. May God wrap all of you in angel wings and 'carry' you through this time.
Blackie............................ My sincere condolences at the loss of your very special friend. May God continue to give you strength and angel wings to bless you through this trying time.
RIP Bucc

What can we say................. So ironic that a man who devoted so much of his time to make the roads a safer place for all us through the Think Bike campaign and his last offer is a fatal bike accident We will never understand.............but it's not for us to question Words can not rightfully describe my emotions. You were a larger than life character my friend and you will be missed……big time. To Fran and the kids, please accept our deepest and sincere condolences Hamba gahle Buccaneer !!!

4 Years ago when Dave and I started riding (as real newbies, complete novices) Brian, Dave Preston along with Richard and a couple of other members were the first people to draw us into the club. Our first ride out was with these guys to a blood donation drive in Witbank - Wow!!! How much has changed since then. How many memories and how many trips we've shared. From our first Buffalo to the Rhino rallies, these are the trips we'll always remember. Thanks Brian... you will be missed!

Aktivis vir motorfietsveiligheid sterf ná bus glo u-draai maak Feb 18 2008 08:59:32:053PM - (SA) Deur: Eagan Williamson

Hi there guys. I have just registered here, seeing as Buccaneer was so involved with the club in the past. I am Réhann Coetzee, committee member for media of Think Bike, where I'm also known as BMWfan. We got a link on our forum to this thread, and it is nice to read your warm-hearted posts about Brian. We have not only lost the guiding light of Think Bike... we have lost a brother and hardcore biker. His loss will be felt widely. Pauli (GSing) is on our media committee and the moment we have details for the memorial ride and function, he said he will pass it on to you.

I got the above from the Think Bike postings. I don't know who holds copyright, but I will put up R200 to contribute towards paying for the die to make metal badges of the above or similar. I can think of no better way for the hundreds of bikers whose lives were touched by Brian's to remember him going forward. Bucc became a martyr for the cause of safer biking in SA. It is up to all of us to send the message out Further, Louder, Clearer..! Let his death not be in vain! Richard

Rehan.. thanks for your posting and welcome to our forum. Our club will always pay tribute to what Brian has done.
Richard.. good idea. I'm sure thousands will carry on the great work he lived and died for.
