I have been using an Autocom Pro 7 intercom system for a number of years now with no problems at all. It works just great at speeds well in excess of the legal requirements and it is versatile in terms of its expandability - music, telephone, bike to bike etc. I imported my own from the UK- ordered it Monday and received delivery the following Monday. the price was less than half of what was available at the time from a German supplier. Installation was a easy and subsequently helped Leroy install his unit on the LT The systems have been upgraded but check out the link below. I see that Hamman Motorrad in Bellvile is the local agent. Their prices appear to be reasonable as well - on a par with what it would cost you to import your own. www.autocom.co.uk/pdf/Autocom_Jan_07_Brochure.pdf

I prefer an intercom running off bike power. The 4 hour intercom time is a big limitation. Autocom units also have a blue tooth interface.

Tend to agree with Renier, we installed the Autocom on the LT early in 2005, and have now transferred it to the new LT - excellent sound and intercom comms between me and Elsabe. Have not yet tried the bike to bike - so cannot vouch for it. Interface to the cellphone is excellent. The choice however is yours. Also feel that the uplink to the bikes power is a better option as you don't have to bother with batteries and the sound quality does not drop as the battery power drops. Regards and safe riding.
