Who is going to the Annual BMW Bikers Gathering. Well I am. Who would like to join in on the ride. Will be departing on Friday morning (9 May) after the traffic has settled but early enough to get to the central Drakensberg before sunset. It is about 490km. Some of the route will include the Heidelberg toll gate on the N3 but we will deviate from the N3 at Villiers - I need some road reports first before finalising the route. The rest of the route will be posted in due course.
I heard that Deon and Shawn are going - want to join me on the ride.
So there will be (so far) :
Renier & Malinda Jordaan 0825541621 Dick & Mariette Conradie Deon Prommel Shawn Rowley & Sam Malcolm Meintjies Jamie Rossouw Stienie Rossouw Wahl Fitzgerald Mike Hennessy Roger F Smith Leon Tromp Mike Wright

Hi Renier
We would love to ride with you to the ABBG. We will chat later with details. Sam and I can't leave earlier than 8:00 on the Friday morning so leaving once traffic dies down is a good idea.
Looking forward to the ride
Shawn

The group has grown to nice size. The plan is to meet at the M1 South Shell Ultracity (Midrand) for 9am departure. The traffic should have subsided somewhat by then. We will head south and meet up with Deon and Shawne at the Total(?) 1 Stop between Alberton and Heidelberg before heading south to Villiers, then to Reitz, Kestel, Oliviershoekpass, Bergville, Winterton and onto to the ABBG. There will be regular leg stretches especially for the lady Pillion riders. Refuelling is planned for Reitz (240km from Ultracity) and Winterton (440km from Ultracity). I am sure the ladies may want to stop for tea at the Waffle Hut and look at some Zulu Weavers woollen rugs after Winterton on route to the ABBG.
If anyone requires GPS routing file please let me know.
